Details

5-Methylcytidine-5’-triphosphate (5mCTP) is a chemically modified CTP analog in which a methyl group is introduced at the 5-position of the cytosine base.

Incorporation of m5C into mRNA has been shown to reduce innate immune recognition while improving transcript stability and translational efficiency.

The 100 mM trisodium salt solution provides 5mCTP in a highly soluble, ready-to-use format, suitable for both research-scale experiments and reproducible manufacturing workflows.

Applications

Modified RNA Synthesis

In vitro transcription (IVT) of chemically modified mRNA to modulate immunogenicity and improve expression profiles.[1]

Epitranscriptomic Method Development and Validation

Generation of m5C-containing RNA standards for the development, calibration, and validation of transcriptome-wide m5C detection methods.[2]

Features and Benefits

High purity, nuclease-free, and Ultra-low endotoxin: suitable for sensitive biochemical assays.
Ready-to-use: 100 mM solution eliminates the need for weighing and dissolution.
Stable disodium salt form: ensures consistent pH and long-term storage.
